at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City,
where from 1989 to 1990 he served as chief
surgical resident. His plastic and reconstructive
surgery training was at the University of
Michigan in Ann Arbor, where from 1991 to
1992 he served as chief resident in plastic
surgery. He then became UCLA’s first
Fellow in aesthetic surgery, training at
the forefront of cosmetic surgery. |
This took Dr. Jan into private practice
in Beverly Hills, California, where shortly
after he began his career in television.
Dr. Jan began as an on-air correspondent
for “Extra” but quickly moved
on to host NBC’s “The Other
Half” along with Dick Clark, Danny
Bonaduce, and Mario Lopez. At the present
time, Dr. Jan is host of Discovery Health
Channel’s number one show, “Plastic
Surgery: Before and After.” He can
also be seen as an on-air expert for CNN,
MSNBC, and other network news shows.
Dr. Jan is author
of Everything Women of Color Should Know
About Cosmetic Surgery (St. Martin’s
Press, 2000) and has just completed Health,
Wellness and Cosmetic Surgery for the Woman
of Color, Volume 2 (Jan Adams Publications,
2006).
Dr. Jan has done
extensive research in skin structure and
metabolism and, through his company Carlswell
Products LLC (Daytona Beach, Florida), has
produced Dr. Jan Adams Complete Skin Care
System for Women of Color available at Walgreen
stores along with the Dr. Jan Adams Plan
for Healthy Skin and the Dr. Jan Adams Skin
Care System for Men of Color, both available
in the Fall of 2006.
Dr. Jan’s constant
search for the ideal skin-rejuvenating system
is what has led us to Rudalgo, an aesthetic
endo-nutridermaceutical. His willingness
to continually be out there amongst the
people, listening to their concerns and
offering individual solutions, has made
him a favorite at state expos, women’s
conferences, and on the lecture circuit.
Dr. Jan, however,
remains loyal to his commitment to plastic
and reconstructive surgery and is private
practice in Southern California.
